Description
Formex Swiss Made Watches, founded in 1999, is an independent, family-owned watch manufacturer based in Biel/Bienne – a city considered the cradle of Swiss watchmaking. Building on a tradition of producing high-end timepieces, Formex develops and produces models that meet the highest quality standards in the industry, complemented by unique technical solutions for enhanced functionality and comfort.
Thanks to an innovative distribution model, Formex offers accessible entry into the world of luxury watchmaking for all who appreciate precise craftsmanship and exceptional artistry.

Essence CERAMICA
The Essence Ceramica COSC takes ceramic timepieces to a new level: a fully ceramic case and bracelet made of zirconia, 41 mm in diameter, with precise grinding and diamond-polished facets. The sophisticated case integrates Formex's patented Case Suspension System – optimized for ceramic to absorb shocks and naturally conform to the wrist – along with a screw-down crown crafted from ceramic with utmost precision.
The bracelet features the world's first ceramic clasp with a patented micro-adjustment system, allowing instant length adjustment in 1.5 mm increments over a total range of 5 mm without opening the clasp. Thanks to the quick-release system, the bracelet can be swapped in seconds for a leather, rubber, or nylon strap, all compatible with the carbon folding clasp featuring patented micro-adjustment up to 7 mm.
Ceramic isn't just about looks – it's approximately seven times harder and 30% lighter than steel, hypoallergenic, non-magnetic, temperature-adaptive, and UV-resistant, ensuring it retains its color and finish without changes. Sapphire crystal on both the front and back completes a package designed to look new every day.

COSC-certified chronometer movement
When it comes to timekeeping accuracy, the gold standard is COSC Chronometer certification. The Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) is the official Swiss chronometer testing institute, which, as an independent body, certifies the accuracy and reliability of Swiss Made watches. The "Chronometer" designation can only be obtained for movements of the highest quality that successfully pass a rigorous 15-day series of tests. This means that the caliber in question achieves the highest standards of mechanical reliability and accuracy.
Formex watches are powered by COSC Chronometer certified movements, ensuring the highest level of precision and performance in Swiss watchmaking. Only approximately 6% of all watches produced in Switzerland receive this prestigious designation, making them among the most accurate and reliable mechanical timepieces in the world.
