Description
Formex Swiss Made Watches, founded in 1999, is an independent family-owned watch manufacturer based in Biel/Bienne – a city considered the cradle of Swiss watchmaking. Drawing from a tradition of high-end watch production, it develops and produces models that meet the highest quality standards in the industry, complemented by unique technical solutions for enhanced functionality and comfort.
Thanks to an innovative distribution model, Formex offers an accessible entry into the world of luxury watchmaking for all who appreciate precise craftsmanship and exceptional artistry.

REEF 42 mm
A true dive watch at its core – the 42 mm steel case houses a COSC-certified Sellita SW300 automatic movement of the highest quality, utilizing chronometer-grade components. This thin and precise caliber allowed for an overall thickness of only 11.4 mm and an optical height of 9.4 mm, making the REEF model suitable for more elegant occasions. For underwater use, the double-sealed construction is tested for water resistance up to 300 m.
The unidirectional rotating bezel, as one of the most exposed parts, is made of extremely hard and scratch-resistant zirconium oxide ceramic. The scale and numerals are engraved using femtosecond laser pulses, with each bezel requiring approximately 60 minutes of precise engraving to achieve a three-dimensional effect.
The notched cutouts on the bezel's edge provide an ideal grip for safe adjustment and tracking of dive time or decompression stops. The 120-click mechanism is smooth and precise, yet firm. Furthermore, the bezel can be easily replaced without the need for tools.

COSC Chronometer Certified Performance
When it comes to timekeeping accuracy, the gold standard is the COSC Chronometer certification. The Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) is the official Swiss chronometer testing institute, an independent body that certifies the precision and reliability of Swiss Made watches. The "Chronometer" designation can only be obtained for movements of the highest quality that successfully pass a rigorous 15-day series of tests. This means that the given caliber achieves the highest standards of mechanical reliability and accuracy.
Formex watches are powered by COSC Chronometer certified movements, ensuring the highest level of precision and performance in Swiss watchmaking. Only approximately 6% of all watches produced in Switzerland receive this prestigious designation, making them among the most accurate and reliable mechanical timepieces in the world.
